The birthday guest always gets a try at the wheel, no matter what package you choose! They also get the demo, thrown by the instructor, as a free birthday gift!
Option A (smaller groups)
Wheel Throwing (on site only.) For a group of 4 people. Event starts with a wheel demo and each guest will get a trial on the wheel with instructor guidance to complete their vessel. Beginners will be taught a bowl or small pot. We can accommodate 4 people at one sitting. If your group is larger, we can split the group and take turns. A tile hand building project can also be incorporated in this event for an additional $25 per person (plus glazing fee) to occupy those who are waiting for their turn on the wheel. Glazing options available for an additional fee. Allow aprox 1-1.5 hrs. (More time needed for split groups)

Handbuilding MOST POPULAR (on or off site.) For smaller groups. This does not include guests trying the wheel (just the birthday guest). Watch the wheel demo, then move over to the handbuilding table to complete your project. (Larger variety of projects available from simple to multi stepped) Additional $52/guests for more than 4 people. Can accommodate 13 people. Glazing options available for an additional fee. Allow aprox 1-1.5 hours.

Option B (larger groups)
Tile/Coaster Handbuilding for Large Groups (on or off site)
AT OUR LOCATION
For groups up to 13 people on site. Includes wheel demo, birthday guest trial and step by step instruction for a decorated tile/coaster 4.5”x4.5” project. Glazing is an additional fee. Allow 1 hour.
$215 base price+$11.50/person +glazing fee
OFFSITE
For groups over 13 people. Just the same as we do on-site but we bring all the supplies to your location. We will walk you through all the instructions and requirements for making the best tile/ coaster project. (*offsite fees apply). Allow aprox 1.5 hours.

Variety Handbuilding for Larger Groups (on or off site)
AT OUR LOCATION
For larger groups up to 13 people (on site.) Includes wheel demo, all building materials and step by step instructions. We will bring all materials, tools, decorating stamps, and textured rolling pins to help inspire you with your creation. Choose from a variety of projects such as owl themed or fairy door mugs, lanterns and tea lights, fairy garden doors and gnomes or make a project suggestion and we will see if we can put something together for you! Contact us for a list of projects to choose from. (Glazing is an additional fee)

OFFSITE
Let us bring all the materials to you and walk you through creating beautiful pottery. Choose from a variety of more elaborate projects such as textured mugs, bowls, owl tumblers, jugs, lanterns, boxes or soap dishes. An instructor will walk you through step-by-step tips on how to create your chosen project. We will take it back to the studio for the full Firing and Glazing process and then contact you when projects are ready for pick up or delivery.
$215 Base Price (based on 13 min) +39.50/person +glazing + offsite fee and travel fees
Option C DO IT ALL!
BOTH Wheel & Handbuilding for Groups.
Simply choose your Handbuilding option from Option B and add $25/ +glazing/person for a trial on the pottery wheel.
For groups over 8 an additional $50 instructor fee will be added to your total. (Up to max 13 people on site.)
For offsite groups there will be a offsite and travel fee.
The event starts with a wheel demo done by one of our instructors, then move to start on the Handbuilding project. Students will be called from the group to work on the wheel with instructions on how to form a vessel. Allow 2.5 -3 hours depending on the size of your group and event activities.
Glazing Options
Dip-$8/ item- An instructor will dip your wheel thrown item in your chosen color from a variety of studio colors, after the pieces have gone through the first firing.
Class or Add on $18/person- This gives you the option to have some glazes/paints brought to your event to do some accent coloring immediately following the building part. Then chose the main color that will be dipped on remaining unglazed piece after the first firing. Add 30 min to your building event.
OR
Come to the pottery studio for your prearranged day and apply the glaze finish to your fired piece and be as creative and as colorful as you want to be. Allow 1.5 hours.
Additional Accent & Glass (for fairy doors lizards, coin dish projects) $18/item.

Project delivery fee to one location $25 (within 40km radius of the Crossfield studio)

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
All pottery projects require a drying time (1-2 weeks) and initial firing (1940°F for 8-10 hours) prior to most glazing techniques (excluding the accent glazing option). Once the first firing and cooling is completed the glazing part can take place and final firing (2232°F for 6-8 hours) can start, curing the glaze finish to the project. All our glazes are safe and lead free. Majority of them are food safe, making your pieces microwave and dishwasher safer. Turn around times for pick up of completed works is 4-6 weeks depending on projects and class size. This time frame starts at the building date and includes the glazing and firing times.
